Course overview
This program provides an overview of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for providers who are interested in how this evidence-based modality can be used effectively to help clients manage a wide range of symptoms (including high risk behaviors). Participants will review the theoretical foundations of DBT as well as how DBT therapy is structured to best support clients. This training acts as a primer that would help clinicians understand whether more extensive training in DBT would benefit their clinical work. While very helpful, this three hour program is not sufficient to equip therapists with the knowledge and skills necessary to be considered fully competent within DBT.
