Course Overview: Telehealth is the practice of delivering clinical health care services via technology-assisted media or other electronic means between a practitioner and a client who are located in two different locations. Treatment is considered to take place where the client is. With telehealth, mental health professionals must make sure they are practicing legally and ethically; following state licensure regulations; and adhering to state and federal practice guidelines and payer contract agreements. Course Objectives: In this course, you will learn to: explore the concept of telehealth, examining its benefits and limitations in the context of mental health services; evaluate and apply the appropriate delivery mode of telehealth for clients, considering individual needs and circumstances; examine legal and ethical considerations that are crucial when conducting telehealth sessions; handle and respond appropriately to online emergencies; utilize knowledge about the guidelines for conducting telehealth sessions
