Course Overview: This comprehensive course is designed for mental health professionals aiming to deepen their understanding of trauma, its manifestations, and the most effective therapeutic interventions. Professionals will be equipped with the tools to recognize, assess, and treat individuals who have experienced traumatic events. Course Objectives: In this course, you will learn to: identify the physiological, psychological, and behavioral manifestations of trauma; familiarize with various trauma classifications; recognize the impacts of trauma on cognitive, emotional, and social functioning; apply evidence-based assessment tools and therapeutic interventions; cultivate a trauma-informed approach in therapeutic settings, and develop an understand of and utlize secondary/vicarious trauma and self-care techniques.
