Course overview
A strong therapeutic relationship has been consistently identified as a moderate but robust predictor of positive outcomes per the client. It is also among one of the strongest predictors of treatment success documented by empirical research (Fluckiger et al., 2020; Stefana et al., 2024). This course will focus on developing a strong therapeutic relationship by helping clinicians understand the quality of the therapeutic relationship, know effective interactions to build healthy relationships, and prepare for the challenges of developing a healthy relationship.
