Clinical Dermatology II Advanced Diagnosis and Clinical Management of Complex Skin Conditions

Course overview

This course will focus on caring for clients experiencing advanced and complex dermatologic conditions seen by nurse practitioners specializing in dermatology. Core competencies from the nurse practitioner's population foci will provide the strong foundation for the assessment and management of complex dermatology. Integration of additional basic science knowledge including pharmacology, immunology, rheumatology, genetics, and gastroenterology will enhance student's knowledge to diagnose cutaneous manifestations of systemic diseases. The 40 CE credits include 15 contact hours of Pharmacology.
