Pharmacotherapy of SUD

Course overview

0202-0000-25-137-L08-P - More than 45 million people in the U.S. had a substance use disorder [SUD] in the past year equating to 17.82% of the population. Polysubstance use has been associated with greater clinical complexity and with evolving evidence it is important for pharmacists to stay up to date on evidence related to appropriate use of pharmacotherapy in conjunction with behavioral interventions for management of SUD. This session will cover just that, from an overview of prevalence and risk factors to a comparison of treatment options for management of various SUDs, including considerations related to polysubstance use.
