Pharmacy professionals are well-positioned to help address the overdose epidemic by managing medications properly, counseling patients and caregivers about overdose risk reduction, and providing naloxone rescue kits to the community. This session will provide pharmacists with a foundation on communication strategies to promote naloxone uptake and pharmacy professionals will be trained on how to administer naloxone in an emergency situation.
