More than 2 million patients take anticoagulants every day to avoid life-threatening blood clots. This lecture will focus on how clinicians can impact their patient's lives by helping them live active lifestyles while taking their blood thinners safely and effectively. Clinicians from all sectors of healthcare can work together as a team to prevent blood clots that can put patients at risk for heart attack, stroke, and other serious medical complications. This lesson will introduce attendees to precautions that should be taken while patients are on blood thinners.
