Course overview

"Hard to Hurt: Senior Strong, Break Falling, and Physical Resilience for All Ages" explores a dynamic approach to rehabilitation and physical well-being; utilizing a "low tech, high concept" approach through kettlebell, sand, and strength training with principles of break falling and martial arts informed therapy for enhanced resilience across all ages. This engaging course moves beyond traditional methods by emphasizing an integrated neurological philosophy as a foundation for functional whole-body movements and practical application for diverse populations, from seniors seeking strength to individuals aiming for improved physical robustness. Participants will actively learn and experiment with exercises and techniques designed to build strength, improve balance, enhance fall protection, and foster overall physical confidence. Through movement-based learning and real-world case discussions, clinicians will gain innovative tools to empower their clients towards greater independence and a more resilient body... and, mind! This will be a highly physically active and demanding course. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing along with any hydration or nourishment supplies they might need.
