Course overview
Neoplasia of the eye and eyelids are common and can have a significant effect on vision, comfort, and systemic health in dogs and cats. Join us for this interesting panel discussion bringing together multidisciplinary experts from around the world to unpack and explore this topic. Amongst many other points, we will discuss laser ablation versus surgical removal of intraocular tumours and different therapeutic approaches for eyelid neoplasia in dogs including mass debulking with cryoablation versus complete surgical excision. Various approaches and options for treating cats with diffuse iris melanoma and mast cell tumours will be reviewed. Recent advancements in the use of advanced imaging techniques to assist in the clinical management of ocular surface masses will be presented. Additionally, the experts will share their surgical tips and tricks relating to enucleation to ensure a good cosmetic result as well as fast healing time with lowest risk of complications.
