Course overview
This class teaches several key skills for effective and well-received presentations in the hospital setting. First is the recognition that different audiences have vastly different needs, though with some overlap. Guidelines and tips are presented for speaking to administrators, attending physicians, residents and medical students, nurses, the public, and mixed audiences. How to prioritize for a department grand rounds lecture, a staff talk, a patient talk, or casual elevator pitch. Focus is on most important evidence honed to a specific attention span, from full lecture to elevator pitch. This PowerPoint will present the current evidence on acupuncture therapy for inpatient care and can be incorporated into presentation.
