Emotional Regulation: Teaching Children Calm is a 3-hour online continuing education (CE) course that provides strategies and techniques for helping children navigate their emotions. Emotional regulation is the ability to manage one's emotions in order to respond appropriately to life's inevitable ups and downs. It assists with competent decision-making, augments memory for critical events, and enables productive interpersonal relations. This course provides techniques clinicians can use to model effective communication in therapy sessions and strategies to assist children with navigating the often-confusing world of emotions, giving them the skills they need to manage their own feelings.
