Course overview

Educational Objectives 1. Recognize the prevalence and impact of pediatric migraine as a disabling neurological condition and its effects on quality of life, academic performance, and overall well-being. 2. Differentiate primary headache disorders, such as migraines, from secondary causes by analyzing clinical features and patient history and identifying red flags for accurate diagnosis. 3. Identify pediatric migraine patients who may require neuroimaging or subspecialist referral and understand the appropriate use of imaging and specialist involvement in their care. 4. Develop comprehensive treatment plans for pediatric migraines, incorporating age-appropriate acute interventions, preventive strategies, lifestyle modifications, behavioral approaches, and pharmacological options.
