Understand Epilepsy Syndromes i) Define "epilepsy syndrome" and its significance in epilepsy diagnosis. ii) Differentiate between epilepsy syndromes and isolated seizures based on diagnostic criteria. 2. Recognize the Importance of Syndrome Identification i) Explain the clinical relevance of identifying epilepsy syndromes in guiding treatment decisions and predicting outcomes. 3. Classify Self-Limited Epilepsy Syndromes i) Categorize self-limited epilepsy syndromes across different age groups: neonatal, childhood, and infantile periods. 4. Identify Specific Self-Limited Epilepsy Syndromes i) Describe key characteristics of syndromes such as: a. Neonatal: Self-Limited Neonatal Epilepsy (SeLNE) b. Childhood: SeLEAS, SeLECTS, COVE, POLE c. Infantile: SeLIE, GEFS+, MEI d. Other: Absence Epilepsy 5. Evaluate Clinical Features and Management Implications i) Analyze the clinical features, prognosis, and management strategies associated with each self-limited epilepsy syndrome.
