Focus on Alzheimer's Disease is a 2-contact hour educational offering with two topics: (1) Health Behaviors & Alzheimer's Disease, and (2) Understanding Alzheimer's & Dementia. Topic 1 - Health Behaviors & Alzheimer's Disease will discuss the 6 pillars of lifestyle medicine; the impact of health behaviors related to each lifestyle medicine pillar; their impact on brain health; and strategies on how to promote memory recall. Topic 2- Understanding Alzheimer's & Dementia will compare Alzheimer's and Dementia; discuss how Alzheimer's affects the brain, its risk factors, stages, ongoing research, and resources available through the Alzheimer's Association.
