Course overview

This course is designed to help nurses prepare for the portion of the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) certification exam that focuses on pediatric physical assessment. Aligned with the CPN exam blueprint, the course reviews age-appropriate health assessments, including pediatric health history, physical examination and physiological monitoring, and pain, nutrition, and safety risk assessments. Additionally, it covers essential techniques for obtaining accurate vital signs, recognizing growth and developmental milestones, and identifying key indicators of child maltreatment and tools to assess for withdrawal and addiction.
