Documentation: What You Don't Know Can Hurt You

Course overview

Participants will be able to describe the legal and ethical standard of care regarding documentation, will gain knowledge about understanding of the purposes of documentation, will be able to describe the legal and ethical considerations of documentation with regard to distance counseling and tele-therapy, will know how to respond to a subpoena or Court Order for client records, and will be able to establish a plan and designate a mentor to maintain client records at their death or inability to carry on with a client permanently.
