Course overview
This 1-hour continuing education course provides licensed acupuncturists with an in-depth exploration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) differentials and herbal treatment strategies for insomnia. The course will cover five primary patterns contributing to sleep disturbances, including Heart and Spleen Qi Deficiency, Liver Qi Stagnation, Heart and Kidney Yin Deficiency, Phlegm-Heat Disturbing the Heart, and Liver Blood Deficiency. Participants will examine the pathophysiology of each pattern, its clinical presentation, and a corresponding classical herbal formula, such as Gui Pi Tang, Jia Wei Xiao Yao San, Tian Wang Bu Xin Dan, Wen Dan Tang, and Suan Zao Ren Tang.
