Passive Movement Treatment Work

Course overview

This course teaches a treatment work approach utilizing several methods of passive movement that can be incorporated into relaxation massage. This includes joint mobilization techniques, passive and active stretching techniques, oscillation, and client positioning techniques. The therapist will learn gentle passive joint movement and mobilization techniques that address clients' most frequent complaints while helping the client stay in a deeply relaxed state. Students learn how to approach "problem" areas with techniques that are non-fatiguing and reduce over-use syndrome for the practitioner.
