Course overview

This course trains participants in the placement, adjustment, and care of orthodontic retainers and appliances. The course covers clinical protocols for post-treatment maintenance, including debanding, retainer fitting, and appliance delivery. Participants also explore basic impression-taking for retainers and receive an introduction to aligner therapy. The curriculum prepares assistants to support clinicians during and after active orthodontic treatment, with a focus on retention and long-term stability.
