Orthodontic Laboratory Training

Course overview

This laboratory-focused course trains orthodontic assistants in the fabrication and adjustment of retainers and fixed/removable orthodontic appliances. Participants receive instruction in appliance design and hands-on techniques to construct Hawley retainers, essix appliances, space maintainers, expanders, and other devices. Emphasis is placed on precision, safety, and understanding laboratory processes to enhance clinical workflow and communication with dental labs.
