CNA Guide to Resident Skin Care

Course overview

This course provides Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with essential knowledge and skills for maintaining health skin in elderly and vulnerable residents. Participants will learn to recognize early signs of skin breakdown, implement daily skin care routines, assist with repositioning to prevent pressure injuries, and report changes in skin condition. Emphasis is placed on prevention, proper hygiene, hydration, and collaboration with the care team to support resident comfort, dignity, and well-being.
