Course overview
will provide an overview of disease subsets in connective tissue disease and the associated biomarkers that are used in the diagnostic workup for patients Some diseases that will be covered include systemic lupus erythematosus Sjogrens Syndrome Systemic Sclerosis Mixed connective tissue disease and Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathy Since there is a wide variety of markers available and differentiation of these diseases is challenging, this session will focus on the most common markers utilized and delve deeper into the complexity of select autoantibodies. In addition the session will review the different autoantibody detection methods available in the market and explain some of the key differences in technology where intermethod variation is expected
