Course overview
Oral Cavity Internal Trauma: Case Discussions PANEL DISCUSSION DESCRIPTION In this Panel Discussion, four leading experts discuss their experience of, and approach to trauma to the oral cavity including injuries to the tongue, buccal and lingual mucosa, palate, foreign body complications, and iatrogenic dental trauma. While certain types of damage, such as those associated with bit fit / position or fractured teeth, have been previously explored, the broader spectrum of internal oral injuries warrants further discussion. These cases often present unique diagnostic and treatment challenges, with approaches varying based on the nature of the injury, the veterinarian's experience, and available resources. In this discussion, the panellists will share insights from their own cases, and trade practical strategies to enhance diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
