Crisis Intervention

Course overview

All Mental health employees are required to take a course in Physical Crisis intervention for the fiscal year of 2015 and on. The purpose of the CSI course is to present the techniques and concepts of nonviolent restraints. To demonstrate the techniques required to restrain an aggressive individual in a non-violent motion. This course is intended to minimize the risk associated with the mental health profession and work environment. This program will provide a general discussion on the verbal techniques and preventing the escalation of continued aggression.
