Course overview

This 4-hour workshop is aimed at prehospital emergency personnel. It provides introductory foundational and practical knowledge in EMS point-of-care ultrasound. The workshop will focus on reviewing the fundamentals of bedside ultrasonography and the components of the focused assessment with sonography for trauma (FAST) as well as an introduction to the use of bedside sonography in resuscitation. The workshop includes simulation, clinical scenarios, and hands-on skills practice. It employs the most innovative ultrasound equipment and training available. The course emphasizes the application of ultrasound in acute care, aeromedical, and austere environments.
