Aquatic Bodywork

Course overview

This course teaches a sequence of aquatic massage flow. Students learn techniques for working on massage clients in the water and how to support clients as they are floated and stretched. Clients are treated with a series of gentle oscillations, rotations, and stretches to increase mobility and flexibility. We will learn techniques including joint mobilization techniques, passive stretching techniques, oscillation, and client positioning techniques. Students will learn proper techniques to ease strain on their bodies during work. Class will be a combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on learning.
