Course overview

This two day class will cover the history, benefits, and myths of Prenatal Massage. Learn about the effects of stress on mother and fetus, stages of growth, contraindications, precautions, high risk clients, proper positioning, and draping. Class will cover muscles affected during pregnancy, changes during pregnancy, marketing strategies, self-care for mothers, and stretches. Postpartum will cover contraindications, safety concerns, and self-care for mothers. This class includes a hands-on practicum. After this class you will be able to offer Prenatal Massage to your clients with confidence and peace of mind. What to bring: writing materials, a set of sheets, unscented oil, 2 standard bed pillows, and 3 pillow cases.
