Course overview
Student will be exposed to anatomy and function of muscles and joints of the shoulder girdle, arm, forearm and hand. Techniques for palpating these structures and for treating soft tissues will be given including appropriate active and passive ROM. Students should leave with a thorough understanding of the myofascial components of pain patterns in these areas. Discussions numerous hand and forearm conditions (including carpel tunnel syndrome and golfer's elbow), shoulder impingement, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, post-mastectomy care, and much more. Trigger points of the region will be viewed and comprehensive course manuals will be included.
