Course overview
That's not fair? From a very young age, we all understand that phrase. Every single human wants to be treated fairly, with respect and understanding. But what is fair? What is ethical? What is moral? What are right and wrong? And do these notions change, depending on circumstance? Ethics usually suggests an idea of universal fairness and the question of whether an action is responsible. Morals often describe a person's particular values concerning what is right and what is wrong. How do you develop and share ethical guidelines in your funeral home? And how do you handle the situation when a person's beliefs don't match your guidelines? Using real-world examples, this presentation will focus on the principles of conduct governing an individual and his/her professional group, and how to navigate some of the tricky questions that arise in today's world.
