Course overview

Per Florida statute 457.107(3), as neuroscience research and related clinical treatments evolve, we are learning that trauma is often at the root of psychophysical health problems, patterns, and diseases. Acupuncturists are in a unique position to treat these dysregulated patterns because Oriental medicine addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual problems faced by many people seeking care. Practitioners have a skill set well suited to leadership and creating teams to serve the health needs of traumatized and underserved communities. This course will introduce practitioners to skills and practices that will support their trauma-informed leadership and ability to sustain teams and projects through the resolution of the conflict.
