This one-hour course will present a new look at Geographic Atrophy, the late stage of nonexudative age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The course will review pathophysiology, risk factors, symptoms, and clinical presentation of AMD. Multimodal imaging and OCT biomarkers will be presented. The new complement inhibitors will be discussed, including efficacy and safety. Finally, a look at what treatments are on the horizon will conclude the course.
