Course overview

Incident reports are used to track patient safety events, detect patterns, and identify processes to decrease the chance of the event recurring in the future. Patient safety events are categorized by type and severity. This activity assists nurses and other healthcare professionals to identify the types of events that should be reported, overcome barriers to reporting, and strategies to create a just culture.
