This Continuing Education class is open to practitioners of Structural Integration who have graduated from an IASI Approved SI Training Program. "Remember to close the session with integrative neck work." We heard something like this from our teachers and know the importance of neck work, back work, and a pelvic lift for integration at the end of the session. But how can our neck work to best serve our client's integration at the end of the session? What is a way to provide neck work that is specific to each session within a series? In this three-day workshop, we will explore neck work through the series in a thematic way. For example, functional bilateral support is a theme of Session 2, and A/P depth on the lateral line is a theme of Session 3. What is neck work that serves those themes? How do we ensure our neck work serves the goals of the client within the session and the series? We will also devote time to reviewing and refining how to approach Session 7. We will deepen our understanding of neck work for the first six sessions (and how that translates to the entire ten-series) through anatomy presentations, Rolfing Ten-Series review, and neck work exchanges. We will also look at the rib complex and how addressing rib dysfunctions can serve to increase the range of motion and ease of motion in the neck. For our Session 7 refinement, we review work around the cranium, the face, and the intraoral and intranasal work.
