Course overview

Clinical supervision is essential for social workers. It not only provides the necessary training they need for an advanced license, but it also continuously develops them into skilled, knowledgeable, and ethical professionals who practice in dynamic work environments and within the broader, ever-changing field of social work. There are various methods and models used in clinical supervision. This course will focus on the legal, regulatory, and ethical aspects of in-person and technology-mediated clinical supervision. It will provide overviews of three models of supervision. Common barriers to supervision and ways to navigate through them are also explored.
