Cultivating Belongingness: An Essential Leadership Skill

Course overview

Relationships are the lifeblood of any person-centered practice, service-oriented team, or mission-driven organization. Yet, a profound sense of disconnect has ruptured relationships, harming our profession,  and the people working in it and served by it. Cultivating belongingness, a key ingredient in intentional, purpose-driven relationships, has the power to heal those relationships. In this course, we will explore key concepts related to belongingness, discuss characteristics and evidence-based outcomes of workplaces with high levels of belongingness, and identify actions nurses can take to promote belongingness at work.
