Course overview

Relationships are the lifeblood of any person-centered practice, service-oriented team, or mission-driven organization. Yet, few resources are devoted to maximizing the quality of relationships, leading to a host of adverse outcomes, including exhaustion, burn-out, resentment, and disconnect. The good news is that each of us has the power to change how we approach our relationships, leading to greater satisfaction and fulfillment in work and life.  In this course, we will explore the 3 typical ways nurses tend to show up in relationships (fix-it, helper and service modes), the outcomes associated with each, and strategies to regain and maintain a service orientation so they can thrive at work and in life.
