OSHA Forms 300, 300A, and, 301

Course overview

Injuries happen on the job, whether through employee error, employer negligence, or just a bad situation at the wrong place and time. We can learn from these incidents to be able to protect ourselves better and, for employers, to protect employees from further harm. Reporting these injuries serves that purpose, along with keeping important information for workers compensation claims. Not every state has adopted an OSHA-approved state plan (or a plan approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration), but each has its own standards for reporting injuries and illnesses. We will discuss the information needed for Forms 300, 300A, and 301, including when reporting is required and how soon after the incident. You will analyze an incident and its associated forms so that when the time comes, you can accurately maintain your department's mandated information standards.
