Course overview

In this session, All Rise's Dr. Bridgett Ortega explores the history and research on juvenile drug treatment courts (JDTCs), the conceptual framework of the best practice recommendations, and provides practical tips for implementation of these recommendations. This training will be held remotely via Zoom. After this session, attendees will be able to: describe the history and stages of development of Juvenile Drug Treatment Courts, discuss the seven Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Objectives and corresponding best practices, and how each is reflected in current or pending practice, and develop a working knowledge of the best practices, the importance of following the best practices, and tips for implementation.
