Course overview

Presenter: Mark Hill This module introduces participants to the importance of drug testing protocols in Juvenile Drug Treatment Courts. Participants will review the most recent science and common practices for drug testing collection procedures, tamper prevention, drug use trends, and responses to positive test results. This training will be held remotely via Zoom. After this session, participants will be able to: describe various testing techniques, and the importance of using research and science to inform practice and policy, discuss necessary policy development or program changes to create an effective testing protocol, and develop a range of responses to failure to test, tampering and positive tests that focus on treatment and criminogenic needs.
