Pulse diagnosis in Five elements Acupuncture has its very own specifics. It is an important tool to assess the immediate effects of treatment and possible outcomes. The second topic of Qi transfers will give you insights on how to use certain acupuncture points to sedate or tonify, how to apply the Junction points or points along the Ke cycle. The "Chinese clock" or the "law of midday and midnight" tracks how qi moves through the channels in a cycle of two hours. We look at the history of this theory, and how the ten heavenly stems and twelve earthly branches have been used in much of Asia for explaining the synchronicity of the world. We compare it to the Western medicine views of the twenty-four-hour body clock, and the circadian rhythm.
