5-Element-Acupuncture: Needling & Moxa and Case Studies

Course overview

In this session we look at the practicalities of working as a five-element acupuncture practitioner. This will start with learning how to perform "snatch moxa", the non-scarring direct style of moxa used in five-element acupuncture, and other moxa techniques that may replace it, and the differences between a TCM and five-element needling styles with a special focus on simple tonification technique. We will then take an in-depth look at a typical treatment progression using five-element acupuncture, using a case history as an example, and working through from first treatment to more ongoing constitutional treatment. We will finish with a "wrap up" question and answer session to finish the course, where we can discuss any questions that have arisen over the course, and consider specific case histories.
