The American Heart Association’s PALS Provider course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, early and continuous high-quality CPR, and high-performing teams. The course reflects science and education from the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). This advanced course requires knowledge of emergency pharmacology, EKG recognition, and advanced patient assessment skills prior to attendance. There is 3-4 hour Pre-Course work online prior to attending this course. The new 2020 AHA Guidelines course format reduces the amount of classroom time spent watching videos.
