Course overview

This course provides an exploration of manipulative and abusive behaviors in relationships. Participants will learn to identify common tactics used by manipulative and abusive individuals, including gaslighting, emotional abuse, and isolation. The course will also cover the impact of manipulative and abusive behaviors on victims, including trauma bonding and PTSD. Participants will explore evidence-based strategies for working with clients who have experienced manipulative and abusive relationships, including safety planning, trauma-informed care, and empowerment-focused interventions.
