Course overview

In the early stages of chronic kidney disease (CKD), symptoms are often minimal. The later stages involve moderate to severe kidney function loss and a higher risk of complications. As CKD progresses, people face an increased risk of hospitalization and readmission due to complications. The goal of this course is to educate nurses in post-acute care settings on how to prevent readmission for people with CKD.
