The goal of these activities is to equip managed care pharmacists with greater knowledge regarding the pathophysiology of wet, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema, the need for newer treatments, the efficacy and safety of newly approved and emerging agents for wet, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema, and the ways in which pharmacists can improve access and adherence to therapy, thus improving patient quality of life and outcomes.
