Course overview
This practical will provide evidence informed management and rehabilitation strategies to best prepare the athlete to return to performance and mitigate reinjury. It will provide clear clinical reasoning to inform exercise selection and programming to identify the most appropriate task and dosage for key muscle-tendon unit adaptations. This practical will also describe how outcome measures can inform exercise selection and return to play criteria. Finally, it will address how best to prepare the athlete for peak running demands such as high-speed acceleration, deceleration, change of direction and maximum velocity.
