Course overview
Following this course, the learner will be able to: Discuss the importance of cardiac function in relation to tissue perfusion and sustaining life. Describe the anatomy of the hearts physical structure as well as the components of the electrical system. Identify the basic components of the cardiac cycle. Discuss the components of cardiac output and the effects of heart rate regulation. Identify the coronary arteries and veins and understand the importance of myocardial perfusion. Identify the effects of impairments in myocardial perfusion.
