Course overview

In this course, we will review the pathophysiology of menopause and perimenopause, their signs and symptoms, and how clients manage and cope during this transitional period. Additionally, we will discuss the health assessments and support a nurse would provide when encountering a peri- or menopausal client.    As of this writing, many changes have been made in the treatment of symptoms associated with peri- and menopause that were previously underutilized or not utilized at all. This will be discussed as we progress through the course.
