This course is designed to help you: 1. Identify clinical child abuse and neglect issues 2. Increase familiarity with screening and assessing adults for child abuse and neglect 3. Demonstrate an understanding of comprehensive treatment for adult survivors of child abuse and neglect 4. Increase familiarity with therapeutic issues for clinicians 5. Demonstrate increased understanding regarding breaking the cycle 6. Identify legal responsibilities of clinicians Course Description: The effects of childhood abuse and neglect perpetrated by family members and the intergenerational transmission of the cycle of substance abuse and child abuse and neglect are the focus of this Course.
